At Colley Lane Primary Academy, we appreciate the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our children. We also acknowledge that a broad, balanced, high quality curriculum and extra-curricular activities have a positive impact on concentration, attitude, achievement and most importantly, enjoyment.
We are committed to ensuring that all pupils receive a minimum of 2 hours of PE per week, delivered by well-trained and enthusiastic teachers.
We run an extensive sports programme over the year, which includes a huge variety of sport clubs such as boys and girls Football, Netball, Hockey, Basketball, Athletics, Rounders and Multi-skills just to name a few. Our clubs take place before school, during lunch break and after school.
Colley Lane has been awarded with the Sainsbury's Gold Mark Award for Sports for the past 5 years. In 2019, we were awarded the Sainsbury's Platinum Mark Award. We are extremely proud of the sporting curriculum and achievements of all involved at Colley Lane.
