World Daily Mile Day

On Thursday 27th April, here at Colley Lane we plan to take part in World Daily Mile Day. It is the 10th anniversary of this particular event.

Children are being asked to run, skip, hop, jump or dance their way around our school field for one mile (8 laps of the Athletics Track). It is a great opportunity to bring all year groups together for a healthy and active day.

All children from Reception to Year 6 can wear their P.E. Kits on this day.

The run is non-competitive, no prizes for being 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, just a great opportunity to stretch our legs as a year group together. Plenty of pictures and videos will be taken and shared across all the School's social media platforms.

You will also see links during the day to 'WAT a RUN', another sporting event taking place across the weekend of 13th and 14th May.

If all goes well (and it doesn't rain!) as a collective we will have run over 450 miles. That is the equivalent distance from Colley Lane to Paris, quite remarkable for Primary School children!
